Never in bed!!
Ciao Tom,
truffle hunting season is closed until Sept. 20, but I don't stay in bed in the morning. In fact now it is mushroom season.
In our Apennines continuing the growth of Porcino (Boletus Aestivalis).
I usually wake up at 2.30 am and at 4.00 am I am in place. I enter in the woods with a flashlight ..... and courage.
But the satisfaction is great, because I find many mushrooms.
At 8.30 am I return with many kilograms of Porcino.
The last hunt was on Saturday: kg. 6.
I enclose photos of the loot.
I hope to see you soon in Italy in October / November to go with Valentino to Pico. I hope to be a good year. Contrary to last year, in which Pico was scarce, this year we had so much snow in winter and rain in spring. For this I am optimistic.
See you soon.
Paolo
